Although it has been over a hundred years since the invention of the automobile, it is still outweighed by the number of bicycles on the road worldwide.

For some cycling is the primary means of transportation, for others it is the height of Saturday morning relaxation. The serious hobbyist may encompass both of these, planning weekly activities and vacation time around cycling trips at thousands of venues in countries all over the world. At the professional level, this is a highly competitive and exciting sport.

It is important for the cyclist, at any level, to have access to the resources that will enhance the experience. Taking the time to learn more about the equipment that is available, the best places to cycle in your area and approaches to safety will not only add to the enjoyment of cycling, but will always provide the option to take it to the next level should you decide to do so.

When purchasing a bicycle today, you will find thousands of models to choose from. Raleigh produces reasonably priced touring bikes with versatility that will allow you to move from commuting to racing quite easily.

If speed is the factor, the Cannondale line of bikes will send you off the radar with their aerodynamic designs geared to the serious racer. For the trickster, the Dark Angel celebrates six years of turning beginners into pros, with features that will stand up to the grueling punishment of the BMX style.

The world of cycling is no longer just about the bike; it’s all about the gear. If you are dependant on this two wheeled form of transportation, accessories such as a reasonably priced cargo trailer can carry home a weeks worth of groceries and still collapse into their own carry bags for manageability when not in use.

For the technology conscious enthusiast, Garmin GPS devices made exclusively for cyclists provide the freedom to explore the unknown and turn every trip into an adventure. These amazing gadgets allow you to head off the beaten path while easily navigating back to familiar territory.

If you would rather pursue cycling from the comfort of your living room, be sure to pull up a chair for the 94th Tour de France. This always exhilarating event brings together the thrill of the race with the opportunity to take a trip through foreign countryside. This year’s tour will begin in Britain and provide the audience with a view of London’s most famous landmarks.

Faced with competition from the new Polaris Rangers, Arctic Cat has redesigned their Prowler series to be one of the most powerful ATVs on the market. While the original Arctic Cat Prowler was mediocre compared to the other high end vehicles in the market, the new Prowler includes an engine which puts all other vehicles in their place. The new 951cc H2 V-Twin engine gives the Prowler enough power to pull heavy loads even on hills. Along with the improved power, the Prowler also features a higher suspension, 10 inches, and shock absorbers which allow for much smoother driving. The Arctic Cat Prowler isn’t your average vehicle. Because it’s produced by Arctic Cat, one can expect top of the line performance. However, it goes beyond that. The Prowler is bigger, badder, and much more powerful than the average ATV. In fact, the vehicle itself is more the size of a tractor than an actual ATV. However, don’t be fooled just by its size. This vehicle is able to accelerate quickly to more than 50 miles per hour with its fuel injected engine. The body suspension and enhanced steering allow the rider to easily navigate through any type of terrain. The combination of its size and performance make the Arctic Cat an extremely versatile vehicle. Whether one is planning to climb uphill for recreation, or pull heavy weight for work, the Prowler can effectively handle any type of situation.Along with the hidden power inside its mechanics, the Arctic Cat Prowler also proudly sports 14 inch steel rim wheels along with a 550 Flat Bed. With these wheels, the Prowler can easily go on rough terrains, making any place accessible. The flat bed itself is a great feature for any farmer or adventurer. Able to carry more than 600 pounds, the flat bed is a useful tool when traveling with a heavy load. Because of its powerful engine, you don’t even have to worry about being slowed down by what’s in the bed. Another great feature about the prowler is its stability and smooth performance. Although the engine has enough powerful to propel the vehicle quickly, it produces an extremely low amount of noisy. You could almost say the Arctic Cat Prowler purrs when it’s running. Also, the handling is smooth enough that one wouldn’t realize they’re driving a vehicle weighing half a ton, even around the turns. The Arctic Cat Prowler is a spectacular vehicle. It has speed, power, and performance worthy of its title as a high end vehicle. Because it was designed by Arctic Cat, you can also bet that the vehicle is guaranteed to satisfy. For a modest price, the Arctic Prowler provides quite the enjoyable ride.

Why Children Below 16 Are Not Allowed To Ride An ATV?

An All-Terrain Vehicle or ATV has been around for the past two decades. But since its introduction until the moment, this vehicle continues to be one of the favorites of people for sports and leisure, not just among adults but children as well. However, most states in the US and other countries in the world prohibit children from using this machine until sixteen years old. Well, there must be some significant reasons for the restriction.

One reason is that in most cases of injuries and even deaths in the past, children were mostly involved.  This is so sad of a story. Children and youth are the hope of the nation. But what will happen to our future when these kids are gone because of the negligence of some adults? And parents are directly to be blamed for such a waste of precious lives because they are supposed to be the one who decide for their children especially that they are still minors.

The children and youth within this age bracket are also not mature enough to handle such an activity where physical strength and endurance are highly needed to maneuver this machine. And the rule is not only to ride the vehicle but to do it responsibly for the rider’s safety and for the safety of others and the environment. Yes, riding on this cute and sturdy vehicle can be a lot of fun. But it can also be a cause of so much stress in the physical and mental aspects of the younger ones. And I don’t think children under sixteen are ready to deal with the stresses that this type of sport can bring.

Remember that this thing is not just a toy, it is a machine that needs to be controlled or else it can do harm to the users. Children and the youth must wait patiently for the time when they are responsible enough to be entrusted with the privilege of driving an ATV.
